Mike lives in York with his wife.  He went to Sandhurst after college and joined the Royal Artillery; spending 18 outstanding years in the military before leaving to travel Asia and the Middle East.  On returning he worked in key accounts and business development before landing a job as a Bid Manager. Mike has managed 3 Bid Teams in the healthcare sector and enjoys the camaraderie that is naturally generated when delivering quality under pressure.  When not working he enjoys travel, cooking, military history, sport, walking in the Dales and gin.

Name an interesting fact about yourself

I spent several months travelling round India on buses – including Delhi, Rajasthan to Pakistan border, all the way to Calcutta, down the coast to the bottom of India, then back up coast to Mumbai. I spent just over 2 months on the road in total.
