Get to know the team! We have already posted some revealing interviews that take you on an exciting trip to the inner minds of various members of the team. We ask the important questions, so you don't have to. Next on the list is Georgie.... stay on the edge of your seats.

Georgie joined the team in November 2016, after graduating from the University of Bristol with a degree in History. She studied modules as diverse as Victorian attitudes towards mental health, to 1970s British politics. Since joining HealthBid in November, she has worked on ambulance services. She speaks German and Spanish and enjoys travelling, particularly through South America.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at HealthBid?

I’m hoping to get to work on certain subject areas that interest me, that’s why I applied to work here.

What causes are you passionate about?

Health; arts charities such as the BFI, and arts in healthcare.

What does your ideal Sunday morning look like?

I’d sleep through it! That sounds like heaven right now actually… I should change that, it sounds exceptionally lazy…

What is something new you’ve learnt this week?

How to post gifs in the work Slack App!

What gifs have you been posting? Have you got any favourite memes?

Ooooh – I don’t know whether I can name any memes! But I’ve been posting a few Halloween gifs, such as one with a cat and a watermelon on its head.

What’s your favourite breed of dog?

Lhasa Apso, my gran’s got one and he’s called Rory. My auntie has also got one called Ferdy – they came from the same place.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

It was money towards an interrailing ticket, which I used this summer.

Nice! Where did you interrail?

I started in the Netherlands, then I went to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. I liked Austria the most because I’m a history nerd, and it was my birthday when I was there. In Austria, I visited a palace that was once lived in by the Habsburgs.

How do you feel about cheese? What’s your favourite type?

Very passionate. I used to work in a cheese shop! I think my favourite cheese is called a Hadrian’s Cheddar - I hate blue cheese.

How many pillows do you sleep with?

2. Apparently, that means I’m going to end up with a triple chin when I’m older…

What was the last thing you Googled?

Hadrian’s Cheddar.

Last book you read?

It was a biography on Joy Division by Peter Hook – it was a bit of a strange book.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

Cat.
